Her recording career started with Duo Fênix – Duo Fênix (1988 – BMG Ariola, LP), Karai-Eté (1990 – BMG Ariola, Brazil and In & Out Records, Europe and USA), with which she made a name both as pianist and composer with appearances at Sofia Jazz Festival, Club New Morning in Paris, and Montreux Jazz Festival. Her prestige as an accomplished musician resulted in engagements as music director and arranger in various award-winning musicals in Rio and Sao Paulo, spanning more than a decade and earning her many awards and allowed her to collaborate on stage and in studio with Brazilian and international greats such as Marcos Valle, Milton Nascimento, Ed Motta, Egberto Gismonti, Toninho Horta, Hermeto Pascoal and Romero Lubambo, as well as Swedish singer Lisa Nilsson.
She brought her dazzling musicianship, charming singing, and Brazilian charisma to her first solo European tour in 2019, with dates in Germany (Jazzkeller Frankfurt and Karlsruhe), Italy (RAI Rome and Napoli), and Portugal (at the prestigious MIMO Festival). Following the hiatus caused by the pandemic, she expects to resume touring Europe as of 2023/2024 in connection with her new releases – a tribute album to the music of Gilberto Gil (Jan 2023) and her new songwriter album sung in English with lyrics by American musician and jazz journalist Allen Morrison. Her collabs for this project (release date to be announced) include Italian singer Mario Biondi, New York Voices, jazz singers Gretchen Parlato and Luciana Souza, guitarist Chico Pinheiro, American Grammy winner cellist Eugene Friesen, and bossa master Marcos Valle.
