Rejan & Chagas Trio – Brasis is an instrumental music project that originated in the Brazilian Midwest, the heart of Brazil. The trio consists of guitarist Fabiano Chagas, bassist Bruno Rejan, and drummer Guilherme Santana. All three musicians are well-known figures in the national and international music scene, recognized as virtuosos on their respective instruments. They are dedicated researchers of Brazilian musical culture, incorporating elements of modern jazz and its interaction with both modern and traditional Brazilian popular music into their compositions and improvisations. In March 2024, they will debut their latest studio work, the album “Made in Brasis” – as Trio Brasis, available on all digital platforms. The guitarrist Fabiano Chagas has toured Europe and the United States, performing at major jazz festivals and concert venues, in addition to conducting workshops and masterclasses. Currently, he serves as a music professor at the Federal University of Goiás. As a composer and improviser, Chagas is known for his musicality and technical mastery, both on classical Brazilian guitar and electric guitar. Bruno Rejan, recognized as a prodigy at the age of fifteen, has become one of the most important bassists in the Midwest. He is highly regarded as an improviser, composer, and arranger, and he is also a professor of bass at the Federal University of Goiás. Guilherme Santana, undoubtedly one of Brazil’s most skilled drummers, has recorded hundreds of albums and conducts workshops and masterclasses.
